In Memory of Helena Kemp .... A Thrice Blessed Momma

Thrice Blessed Momma” was a wonderful Mother, and she was my friend. My friend from a far, and I miss her greatly. Not only was she my friend, but she was a friend to others as well, to a lot of people that grew to know her, and especially to those in the world of blogging and the groups that she belonged to.

She left behind her beautiful triplets, Madison, Zoe and Jonathan, age five. They were the loves of her life, and she never hesitated to tell the world of her love for them.

This tribute is for her young children, who have lost both their parents at such a young age. Please leave a “kind word” to Helena and Andrew's children, so that when they grow up …. they’ll know the hearts that their Mother touched, …. or simply leave them a message, a prayer or a kind thought here.

Thinking of the triplets - Seven years old and starting a new school year. . . .

(Photo courtesy of "To Write Their Names in the Sand")

My heart was reminded of sweet Helena today as I made some chicken soup, and then I thought of the triplets and how they are doing right now.

It crossed my mind that they celebrated another birthday in March without mom and dad. . . and the day slipped right by me.

- Madison, Zoe, and Jonathan -
I am thinking of and praying for you.
Although I didn't remember your birthday this year, I know that your mom and dad must have sent you a colorful rainbow,
released some pretty butterflies,
and made the stars twinkle so pretty that day for you.
Happy Seventh Birthday
to the best three gifts from God
that your parents could have ever imagined!

With love,
Gina, a forever friend of your mom.

One year

It has been over one year since Helena passed away. Hard to believe really. She was a person who exuded life and love and laughter - and I feel the loss of her in my life.

I pray that the kids are well - and that they remember the mom who fought so much to bring them into the world and give them a good life. When they look at one another, I pray that they see mom in each other's eyes,
and that doing so will bring them joy and peace in their loss.

A poem for Helena

Love never disappears for death is a non-event.

I have merely retired to the room next door.

You and I are the same; what we were for each other, we still are.

Speak to me as you always have, do not use a different tone, do not be sad.

Continue to laugh at what made us laugh.

Smile and think of me.

Life means what it has always meant.

The link is not severed.

Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight?

I will wait for you, I am not here, but just on the other side of this path.

You see, all is well.

Happy Birthday Helena

Happy Birthday Helena!

You've been on my mind so much lately, and you're still missed so much. I think of you often, and many times throughout the day when something funny that we've talked about crosses my mind ... I often smile when the thought of you and your laughter passes by.

Here's three roses for you Helena, one for each of the three little loves of your life. Watercolored roses ... your favorites! I can only imagine that you and Andrew are together watching over your littles ... so today, pluck a petal and send them to Madison, Zoe and Jonathan to help heal their heart.

Even though we never met on this earth .... you'll always be my good friend and someday when I meet you in heaven we'll laugh again, and we'll have long long talks. Some will be serious, but most will be filled with the laughter of two great friends that crossed paths, and found a wonderful long distance friendship that will never end.

Happy Birthday my friend .... you're missed.

Love,

Tanya
